1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to everything you do with a NamelyHost service - websites you host, emails you send, domains you register, certificates you use. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not use our Services to:

  • Break the law in Malaysia or any jurisdiction that applies to you or your users.
  • Infringe intellectual property, trade secrets or privacy rights.
  • Harass, threaten, defame or stalk any person.
  • Misrepresent your identity or the source of any communication.
  • Circumvent any security or authentication mechanism.

3. Prohibited content

The following content is not permitted on our servers:

  • Child sexual abuse material. We report this to authorities immediately and without notice.
  • Content that incites violence, terrorism or hatred against a protected group.
  • Malware, phishing kits, carding sites, credential stealers.
  • Pirated software, films, music or other copyrighted material you do not own or licence.
  • Material prohibited under Malaysian law, including content that violates the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

4. Fair resource use

Shared hosting plans are sold on a fair-use basis. A single account must not consume resources in a way that degrades service for other customers. We will contact you before suspending for resource abuse, except where immediate action is necessary. Specific thresholds are published in the Knowledge Base.

5. Email

You may not use our email services or SMTP relay to send unsolicited commercial email (spam). You must comply with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and any other applicable anti-spam law. You must maintain a working abuse@ address on any domain hosting email here. Bulk senders must use a dedicated email-relay product.

6. Security and abuse

You must not run vulnerability scans, DDoS tools, open proxies, TOR exit nodes, cryptocurrency mining, or any service that is being attacked, without our prior written permission. Honeypots and security research are permitted with prior written consent.

7. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate a Service for AUP violation. Where safe and reasonable, we will contact you first. For severe violations (child abuse material, active attacks, court orders) we may act immediately without notice. Service credits are not payable for downtime caused by your AUP violations.

8. Reporting abuse

If you believe a NamelyHost-hosted site or email is in breach of this AUP, please write to abuse@namelyhost.com with the URL or email headers. We investigate every report.
